Research process and data

In the National Research Data Initiative the phases of the research process were examined from a data management standpoint as well as existing and missing services related to them. As data is under processing, the research process can be thought of as beginning where another leaves off, with the phases forming a continuum. On one hand this enriches existing research data, by offering it new perspectives and conclusions, while on the other it also produces new knowledge, which can be addressed with new research questions.
