These instructions are no longer updated. Instead of using the network directory we recommend the Cyberduck file transfer program for Windows and Mac OS X.
You can transfer files to and from IDA onto a local disk via the network directory.
The network directory is not to be used for direct editing of existing files in IDA as it may cause unexpected changes in data content.
Network directory authentication uses a service specific password, i.e. IDA password. IDA password can currently be changed only in the command line interface.
